Complete the following exercises.

EXERCISE 1

Get a copy of a keyboard scan utility called ScanCode Show. 

Put the program ScanCode Show (scode.com) on a bootable floppy diskette and boot your PC that your testing with this diskette.

You will be given two keyboards to test using the ScanCode Show program.

Write a paragraph showing the test results on your two keyboards.

EXERCISE 2

Draw a diagram on paper showing the 5 pin DIN connector used for many keyboards.

Label the function of each pin.

Specify the voltage range that you should see on each pin.

Ask your instructor to demonstrate a dynamic test for the keyboard using an oscilloscope.
